KMC OPENING PARTY

ENTRANCE FEE: adv. 1500 yen/door 2000 yen (drink & food order separate)

KMC begins with featured showcase artists for an evening of music and social interaction at the opening party. All showcase artists are encouraged to attend to network with other artists, KMC staff, industry reps, make plans for meetings, coordinate schedules for a more productive experience during the conference.

KMC registration will also be going on with artists receiving Osaka City maps, tourist information guides, KMC passes, and conference programs.
Artists that missed the party in 2010 later said that they wished could have attended. This is definitely a "must attend" event, so make your plans to be there and get things started off right.

MUSIC CONFERENCE

VENUE: The Osaka Museum of History 4th floor

ENTRANCE FEE: No charge

For 2 days, musicians from different countries will have a chance to display their native music and culture with workshops, presentations and live performances at the main conference venue.
The 18th is for the general public to join any of the numerous workshops by professional artists to learn about traditional music, instruments and dance as well as enjoy live performances. This year will also feature the addition of traditional Japanese comedy with a two-hour English Rakugo show.
The 19th is for musicians interested in attending panel discussions and presentations about different aspects of the Japanese music industry. Representatives from different areas of the music business will share their knowledge and experience, give advice and answer questions.
